The other face of Downturn

Many people would like to start a business, but worry that a downturn in the economy would lead their company to fail. However, some of the best ideas for a good business are in fields that are not typically affected by a recession.

One example is providing accounting services. No matter how bad the economy gets, taxes still need to be done. In fact, if you can provide financial planning services in addition to payroll and tax accounting, you might even see this field boom if the economy takes a downturn. When things get tight, people will be looking to the professionals to help them find ways to stretch their budgets.

Another option is getting into the tech industry. In this increasingly technologically driven world, companies can't afford to cut back on their information technology services. With more and more jobs being able to be done more quickly and easily with computers, companies will be looking for technology experts to help them streamline their business.

As the economy goes down hill, one sad reality is that more people are unable to pay their mortgages. Foreclosed homes are typically very cheap and can be bought easily with a little capital. You can then turn these homes around and re-sell them for a nice profit. If you're able to buy these homes without obtaining a mortgage, you can even sit on them until the housing market bounces back and make a ton of money.

No matter how dire the financial climate may seem, there are always businesses that will continue to boom. The best ideas for a good business are ones that will continue to perform no matter what the situation.

If you need money now, like I mean in the next hour, try what I did. I am making more money now than in my old business and you can too, read the amazing, true story, in the link below. When I joined I was skeptical for just ten seconds before I realized what this was. I was smiling from ear to ear and you will too.

How does it spread?

Social networking concluded…………….

In this session lets have have a closer look at the basic types of social networking sites (now onwardswill be called socnet )and the way people use them. First lets start with a thought provoking example of a socnet called Gurgle ,which is a socnet for parents where they can talk or get knowledge about pregnancy, birth, and bringing up children.

On the broader grounds there are two types of socnets viz. internal social networking (ISN) and external social networking(ESN). ISN is the socnet which is created for a special purpose and is closed from the perspective of other people joining who are not involved in the purpose whereas ESN is an open ended socnet which is open to the entry of any one ,i.e free to all entrants and entries through a formal signup and add request.Usually socnets have disclaimers or so called privacy settings which are required to be followed.

Now lets talk about how we get connected on the socnet, this will be easier to discuss and understand after looking at following picture.

Here we can see that a person called dhun is friends with four people on the socnet. All are listed in the friend list of dhun and similarly dhun is listed in their friend list. When deepali logs in into the socnet she sees an interesting scrap or blog from subu ands wants to be friends with him, so she sends a friend request to him and on his acceptnce becomes a friend of him. Now she can interact with him through the socnet and the future prospects are boundless. Here its necessary to understand that two people who were totally unknown to each other have come to know and understand each other. Similarly if another person lets say narayani knows or is enlisted in the profile of subu, he can go through his profile to join and be friends with deepali.

The pros and cons of social networking are subjective and vary from person to person and in this era of online growth one can be quite imaginative. So lets use the social networking sites for creative work and its much required as being MBA grads we will soon set our foot on the holy war grounds called workplaces………….so lets look at the pic above and think about it.

The Desire to Excel

A German once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby. Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the same idol?" "No," said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage." The gentleman examined the idol and found no apparent damage. "Where is the damage?" he asked. "There is a scratch on the nose of the idol." said the sculptor, still busy with his work. "Where are you going to install the idol?"

The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high. "If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?" the gentleman asked. The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, "I will know it."

The desire to excel is exclusive of the fact whether someone else appreciates it or not. "Excellence" is a drive from inside, not outside.

Excellence is not for someone else to notice but for your own satisfaction. and efficiency.ent.

Destined to Succeed.

Einstein was 4 years old before he could speak.

Issac Newton did poorly in grade school and was considered "unpromising."

When Thomas Edison was a youngster, his teacher told him he was too stupid to learn anything. He was counseled to go into a field where he might succeed by virtue of his pleasant personality.

F.W. Woolworth got a job in a dry goods store when he was 21, but his boss would not permit him to wait on customers because he "didn't have enough sense to close a sale."

Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team.
Bob Cousy suffered the same fate, but he too is a Hall of Famer.

A newspaper editor fired Walt Disney because he "lacked imagination and had no original ideas."

Winston Churchill failed the 6th grade and had to repeat it because he did not complete the tests that were required for promotion.

Babe Ruth struck out 1,300 times, a major league record.

A person may make mistakes, but is not a failure until he or she starts blaming someone else. We must believe in ourselves, and somewhere along the road of life we will meet someone who sees greatness in us and lets us know it.

The Flame

If the blinding darkness can look so enchanting with a candle light, then a not so good world can become a better one with our minds.
Just our minds need to be ignited with the flame of an Idea.

Time, and time again

Time, and time again
To realize the value of ONE YEAR,ask a student who failed his exams...
To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby...
To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper...
To realize the value of ONE DAY, ask a daily wage laborer...
To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet...
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train...
To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident...
To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics...
Treasure every moment that you have!!

.YESTERDAY is history.
.TOMORROW is a mystery.
.TODAY is a gift. That's why it's called the PRESENT!!

Every second Lady Luck is waiting for you to open the door.

Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs do things which are not generally practiced in the ordinary course of business.
Few entrepreneurs achieve the status of celebrities overnight...and others are ridiculed for their failure. But their energy does not end their. They try even harder to achieve what they want.
With such energy let all of us contribute to the spirit of free enterprise.
Entrepreneurship is an Exploration of Dream.

The Helping Question.

Where ever you go you find a lot of Questions left unanswered. A question that often pops up in our mind is that, "Is it the only way to do a thing or is there any other way to it?
Several times we even see a better way or a solution in our mind. But because of all the 101 reasons we have in our life, we fail to implement those solutions or ideas.

Recently in the NLP class we came across a very interesting statistics which says that we all have on an average 3 ideas/ day which has the potential to make us Billionaire, sounds interesting.

When we talk of ideas here, we are talking of anything, which can make our life better. It can be a new format of business, or a theory on any specific topic or anything which can produce positive outcomes.

It should be borne in the mind that the ideas need nourishment inside our mind, first. After getting approval from all the faculties of mind, it clears the test for its execution. I feel this to be the most difficult stage of an Idea plantation. At this point the H & the Ws generate so much friction in our mind that every thing halts, without any screeching sound. Thereafter, you find no clue of the idea . So the first step is the last obstacle in its execution. With the first step only, half the problems are solved.

"Every individual is gifted with a very beautiful mind to think" .... but the beauty can be seen, only when it is used .....

The Root of Change.

Man has been adapting himself with the time, air, fire, water, people, situation and till now, walking tall against all his counterpart creatures on Earth & the various forces of nature.

What made him the ruler of this big planet and now probably even on other celestials???

The answer is "IDEAS & THEIR IMPLEMENTATION". We don't realize that everything we do, from brushing our teeth to driving all the way to a Multiplex we do it with some ideas.

What we really call "Ideas" are only the summation of these matured inbuilt ideas. But many a times because of their complexity we leave them at a very nascent stage. So there we commit the act of "Idea Infanticide".

The point I want to establish is that no idea is a bad idea & the reason because, it drives CHANGES. Any +ve idea deserves a close look and if viable, it should not be deprived of its LIFE.
Breathe air into an IDEA and see a different TOMORROW.

A CHANGE sets TREND & A TREND gets incused on TIME.

When Dream Directs..

Entrepreneurship is neither confusing nor complicated as its pronounciation. Entrepreneurship was there in India much before Globalisation and even before the Great Industrial Revolution in Europe. In fact, human beings prospered because somebody, some day gave us its meaning and its formula.

The word entrepreneur originates from the French word, entreprendre, which means "to undertake."

On one hand, it is considered by many as a rocket science term and on the other hand, nowadays it’s being overused in B-Schools. Entrepreneurship is many a time used synonymously with small business. But there is a significant difference between the two. An entrepreneur brings in innovation in an existing business format and he takes big risks for the sake of his dream. Ethics also play a big part in his dream. So, society at large gets benefited from his venture.

Entrepreneurship brings a small change with a small idea, but brings big outcomes. It’s all about fitting your glasses in others eyes and making the world look better.

“An Entrepreneur gives a new direction to an existing way and thereby gives a new way to live.”

Harnessing the power of Ideas.

A handful of students from IBMR-IBS thought Student's ideas to be too precious to loose.

So they took the initiative of forming an incubation cell in IBMR-IBS named IIINCUSE, that is me, to harness the power of your IDEAS.

I am all yours. I will only play the role of a compass in giving the right direction to your ideas.

The truth is that I am Nothing, but only,, your ideas.

Without your ideas I do not exist.

So..
Feed me with your Ideas.....
and see your Your Ideas GROW...
